چکیده

In the current study, a simple cryopreservation method (desiccation) was applied to Corylus avellana L. callus. Accordingly, effects of abscisic acid (ABA) concentration, pretreatment duration on MS medium containing ABA + 10% sucrose, and storage length in liquid nitrogen (LN) callus survival rate were investigated. Calli’s assessed 8 weeks after exiting from LN. Callus significantly affected by concentration treatment with ABA-supplemented media. However, LN did not have an impact rate. present highest (45.79%) obtained both treatments 20 days preculture 2 mg l− 1 following h desiccation-one day 2.5 desiccation-thirty The desiccation help sucrose effective successful

Change of antioxidant enzymes activity of hazel (Corylus avellana L.) cells by AgNPs.

Elicitation effect of silver nano particles (AgNPs) and triggering of defence system by production of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) as a signaling molecule in the regulation of the activity of stress-related enzymes and production of Taxol was evaluated in suspension- cultured hazel cells (Corylus avellana L.). The cells were treated with different concentrations of AgNPs (0, 2.5, 5, and 10 ppm), in...

High Quality RNA Isolation from Leaf, Shell, Root Tissues and Callus of Hazelnut (Corylus avellana L.)

Extraction of high quality RNA is a critical step in molecular genetics studies. Hazelnut is one of the most important nuts plants in the world. The presence of the taxol and other taxanes in hazelnut plant necessitates explaining their biosynthesis pathway and identifying the candidate genes. Therefore, an easy and practical method is necessary for RNA extraction from hazelnuts. Hazelnut has h...

Orderly arrangement of ribosomes in the embryogenic callus tissue of Corylus avellana L

Cultured callus tissue of hazel (Corylus avellana L.), which has the potency of somatic embryogenesis, was used for the study of cell ultrastructure in the course of callus growth and embryoid formation. The meristematic cells of this tissue exhibit a specific organization of rough endoplasmic reticulum (RER), stacked into extensive parallel sheets. The membranes of the aggregated RER are assoc...

Hazel (Corylus avellana L.) as a New Source of Taxol and Taxanes

Taxol is used to treatment of variety cancers including ovarian, breast, lung, head and neck carcinomas and the AIDS-related Karposi’s carcinoma, and was originally obtained from bark of taxus brevifolia. However the amount of extracted taxol from taxus is extremely low and cannot be considered as a suitable commercial source and it has led to studies for finding new sources of Taxol. In 1998, ...

Phytic acid mobilization is an early response to chilling of the embryonic axes from dormant oilseed of hazel (Corylus avellana).

Dormancy of hazel (Corylus avellana L.) seeds is alleviated by a chilling treatment during which cytological, hormonal, and biochemical changes occur. Phytic acid and phosphate mobilization have been examined during this treatment. Phytic acid accounted for 0.7% and up to 3.2% of dry weight in axiferous and cotyledonary tissue, respectively. Phytic acid levels in embryonic axes were reduced by ...
